Dudley Elementary

Weekly Update 5.9.19

Good Afternoon Dudley Families-

Our campus is a bee-hive of activity.  Open House, Mother’s Day, the End of the Year, each of these activities brings an energy of its own and it is great to watch.

Being Thursday, here are some very important announcements.

This week has been Staff Appreciation Week on the Dudley campus.  Our dedicated and hard-working PTA have been doing a great job of making our staff feel appreciated and pampered.  You may want to have your child write a note or draw a picture for some deserving staff members?

Monday, May 13th is a Collaboration Monday.  PM Kinders and grades 1-6 will dismiss at 2:20 PM.

    • AM Kinders attend school from 8:10 AM to 11:15 AM
    • PM Kinders attend school from 11:15 AM to 2:20 PM
    • Grades 1-6 attend school from 8:55 AM to 2:20 PM

Registration for next school year is now open.  It is very important for incoming Kindergarteners and Transitional Kindergarteners to get registered as soon as possible.  If you know any families with children who are age appropriate for Transitional Kindergarten, born between September 2nd and December 2nd, please encourage them to enroll their child.

Finally, here are a few important dates for your calendar.

  • Thursday, May 16th~~ Open House  6:00-7:00 PM
  • Monday, May 20th~~ is NOT a Collaboration Monday.  We will follow our regular day schedule and students will dismiss at 3:10 PM.
  • Thursday, May 30th ~~ The last day of school for the year for students!  School dismisses at 12:10 PM

Sunday is Mother’s Day.  I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all of you mothers, step-mothers, grandmothers, aunt-mothers, friend mothers and anyone else who fills that vital role of meeting the nurturing needs of the children we share.  Our little Dragons have amazing people taking care of them while they are in our care and we all appreciate the work you do to love them when they are at home. May your Mother’s Day be filled with family and love...and perhaps a little TLC for you.

Have a great weekend-
