Weekly Update 10.18.18

Good Afternoon Dudley Dragon Families!

Fall Break has ended and we are enjoying some beautiful Fall weather.  It’s a great time to live in Northern California.

Since it is Thursday, here are a few important reminders:

  • Today, we had an unexpected fire drill on campus.  Excess smoke was generated during snack preparation at CDC which caused our fire alarm to trigger.  Sac Metro Fire came and evaluated the situation and cleared us to return to classrooms and resume our school day.  The whole event lasted about 20 minutes.
  • Tomorrow, Friday, October 19th is Spirit Day.  Wear your favorite Dragon Wear or the always fashionable Red and White to show your Dudley Dragon Spirit.
  • Our Coupon Book Fundraiser has ended.  My delivery schedule is running a little behind.  All orders will be ready for delivery next week. I appreciate your patience.
    • If anyone still has a book at home, please return it to school at your earliest convenience.  We are responsible for the cost of all unaccounted for books. Thank You!
  • Monday, October 22nd is a Collaboration Monday.
    • AM Kinders attend school from 8:10 AM to 11:15 AM
    • PM Kinders attend school from 11:15 AM to 2:20 PM
    • Grades 1-6 attend school from 8:55 AM to 2:20 PM
  • Next Friday, October 26th, our PTA is hosting a “Harvest Festival”.  There will be games, food, dancing, prizes and all other types of fun.  I hope to see you there.
  • One final safety reminder, as we start to experience shorter days, the angle of the sun in the mornings and afternoons is different than in the summer.  If windshields are dirty, streaky, or damp, it can be difficult to see clearly. Please remind your child to use sidewalks and marked crosswalks when coming to or leaving school.  Also, please refrain from “cutting through” our parking lot as you are walking your child to your parked car. Thank you for helping us keep all of our Dragons safe.

That’s all I have for this week.

I hope you have a great weekend.
