Weekly Update 11.1.18

Good Afternoon Dudley Dragon Families!

It has been an amazing Red Ribbon Week on the Dudley campus.  There was a lot of spirit and motivation to live a life free of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use.  Check out our website to see pictures from this year’s door decorating contest.

Since it is Thursday, here are a few important reminders:

  • A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated and hard-working PTA for an incredible Harvest Festival last Friday night.  There were great games, costumes, and plenty of dancing. All who attended were treated to a great time!
  • Tomorrow, Friday, November 2nd is our All School Photo Day.  We are asking all children to wear red tomorrow. We will assemble on the playground at 1:45 PM and the Sacramento Metro Fire Department will help us take a school-wide photo.  As luck would have it, our Red Ribbon Week theme for tomorrow is to “Travel Drug Free” and show your spirit by wearing red.
  • Monday, November 5th is a Collaboration Monday.
    • AM Kinders attend school from 8:10 AM to 11:15 AM
    • PM Kinders attend school from 11:15 AM to 2:20 PM
    • Grades 1-6 attend school from 8:55 AM to 2:20 PM
  • Our dedicated and hard-working PTA started their Otis Spunkmeyer Catalog Fundraiser today.  A packet came home with all students with all of the details.
  • Here are some important dates for you to keep in mind:
    • Friday, November 9th-  Trimester 1 Report Cards come home with the students.
    • Monday, November 12th-  School is Closed to commemorate Veteran’s Day
    • Monday, November 19th- Friday, November 23rd- School is CLOSED for Thanksgiving Break
  • One last note.  Please remember to “fall back” this Saturday night and set your clocks back one hour as Daylight Savings Time ends.  Enjoy that extra hour of the weekend!

That’s all I have for this week.

I hope you have a great weekend.
