Dudley Elementary

Weekly Update 2.7.19

Good Afternoon Dudley Families-

This has been a very typical February week around here.  Chance of rain, and very cool temperatures. It doesn’t slow us down a bit.

It has been another busy week on the Dudley campus.  Being Thursday, here are some important announcements:

  • Today was the CJUSD Geography Bee hosted by Oak Hill Elementary School.  Dudley sent 6th graders Matthew Moore and Michael Kashirets as representatives.  I am pleased to share with you that the CJUSD Geography Bee Champion was our own Michael Kashirets.  Michael was also last year’s CJUSD Geography Bee Champion so he is a back-to-back Champion! Please join me in congratulating Michael.
  • Please note that school is closed on Monday, February 11th, as our district commemorates the first of two President’s Day weekends.  School will also be closed on Monday, February 18th.
  • Beginning on Tuesday, February 12th, we will hold our annual “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser to support the Northern California Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Each classroom will be collecting and counting donations to support research and patient advocacy activities. Thank You for your support with this important cause.
  • Have you ordered your 2018-19 Dudley Yearbook?  If not, you can pre-order a book for the great price of $18.  You can add a personalized cover for just $7.00. Pre-orders are only available until February 15, 2019.  Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee that your child will get a book. You can pre-order online at
  • Here are some very important dates for you to remember, especially with day care and transportation needs.
  • Monday, February 11th-- School Closed for President’s Day I
  • Monday, February 18th-- School Closed for President’s Day II
  • Friday, February 22nd-- Trimester 2 Report Cards sent home
