Dudley Elementary

Weekly Update 2.14.19

Good Afternoon Dudley Dragon Families-

It is Valentine’s Day, which means love is in the air.  Not much can match the love that we have for working with your children here at Dudley Elementary.

Being Thursday, here are some important announcements.

School is Closed on Monday, February 18th.

Tomorrow, Friday, February 15th, is the last day to purchase pre-sale yearbooks.  You may purchase a 2018-19 Yearbook for $18. You may also add a personalized cover for an extra $7.  You may order online or with the envelope that was sent home a few weeks ago. To guarantee that you will get a yearbook when they are delivered in May, please order now.  If you wait until May to purchase your yearbook, we may be sold out.

On Tuesday, February 12th, Dudley Elementary opened our loving, generous hearts to support a very valuable cause.  We began our “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser which raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Northern California.  This money is used to support research and family/patient support programs. I thank you in advance for your support. As of this afternoon, we have collected a little over $100.00  Our first and third grade classes have both collected more than $30.00 so far. Ms. Skogebo’s class has collected the most, almost $25.00, so far. Classes have the opportunity to earn incentives for collecting $100, $200, or $300 in donations.  This fundraiser will end on February 22nd.

Next Friday, February 22nd is Dragon Day.  Our theme this month is Super Heros. Show your Dudley Spirit by dressing as your favorite Super Hero

Next Friday, February 22nd is Movie Night hosted by our dedicated and hard working PTA.  The movie is “Incredibles II.” The movie starts at 6:00 PM. Please remember that students must be accompanied by a responsible adult to be able to attend.  Check the attached flyer our the Dudley homepage for more details.

I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate all of the parents who have been driving cooperatively and safely on these rainy days.  Our parking lot gets very busy and your cooperation with the staff who are monitoring and patrolling the parking lots and sidewalks is much appreciated and keeps all of our Dragons SAFE.

Have a great three day weekend-
